About Funding Sources

Some of the funding sources that provide funds for the treatment of children with autism include the following associations:

National Autism Association

The National Autism Association is a non-profit organization that aims to respond to the immediate requirement of the autism community. It seeks to help the individuals affected by autism so that they can develop their potential to the highest level.

UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation

The UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps cover the treatment expenses of children with autism who do not have health insurance. This foundation understands the needs of children who may not get the required treatment due to the lack of health benefit plan coverage. The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation helps the families of children with autism to adequately fund the treatment that is required, and in this way also helps families avoid falling into debt.

ACT Today!

Autism Care and Treatment (ACT) Today! is a national nonprofit organization that aims to spread awareness about autism treatments and to provide help to those who need it most. It provides funds to families who need financial aid for the treatment of their children. It helps children with autism get the required treatment therapies and it supports these children to reach their potential. ACT Today! is founded by a group led by Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh, a leading therapist in the treatment of children with autism. It has a separate campaign to support military children with autism known at ACT Today! for Military Families (ATMF). ACT Today! is engaged in promoting awareness about successful treatments of autism through blogs, television and news articles.

Autism Family Resources

Autism Family Resources is a non-profit organization that provides financial help to families of children with autism. This foundation was set up by parents of a child with autism. The founders understand the emotional and financial stresses faced by families who need to raise a child with autism. Autism Family Resources provides families with the essential items that are required by a child who is undergoing treatment for autism. Several items that the physical, occupational or other therapists prescribe are usually difficult for the families to afford. These items are required for the safety and development of a child with autism. Autism Family Resources also provides funds to families so that they can purchase these items.
